What's new...

After waiting for what seemed like forever, I finally got around to buying and installing some Rock Krawler Boomerang shackles. The Teraflex Revolvers were just too noisy and loose, so I was running the stock ones for a long time. They took a lot of abuse as the smacked back and forth as those huge rear leaf packs flexed. The new Boomerangs perform extremely well and got rid of the banging. The only problem is (there's always a drawback, isn't there?) is that the right shackle rubs the tail pipe, and the rear end of the Jeep is about 1.5" higher than the front. I'll either put on some 5.5" springs in back, or I'll get some JKS adjustable coil over spacers for the front.

As soon as I got my schackles put on, I took my little Cherokee out for a test spin. Performance was great. Unfortunately, I found a stream that was quite a bit deeper than it looked and got myself stuck! Check out the carnage.

Stay tuned... I'm sure I'll do something else really stupid very soon.
