I little bit more exciting that my 50,000 mile picture, I rolled 60,000 miles
crossing the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Not necessarily an off
road adventure, and certainly not the most comfortable trip, but it's still
a cool milestone.

After installing my lift, I had some tire-rub issues on the new long
control arms. So, I installed some 2" wheel spacers to remedy the
problem. After getting them on there, I took the Cherokee out for a quick
trip at a local moto-cross track to see if everything was working alright.

I didn't wait a moment after getting my lift installed before installing my
Bushwacker fender flares
It wasn't as easy as I had hoped, but it was still nothing compared to the
lift kit!

9.29.2005
After a lot of time spent waiting on lost parts, and then several days of
installation, I got my lift
and tires installed!
Finally - my Jeep is a Jeep.

9.3.2005
I ordered all the parts for my
lift! This is the last this little Cherokee will be stock again. Before
putting it on, I took these shots to show how much (or little, I suppose) it had
before I put the lift on.

We took the Jeeps camping at
Lake Lopez. My Cherokee turned
out to be the haulin' wagon - I carried all the stuff, Justine carried the girls!
We didn't do any trails or anything. The Cherokee still worked out great - we
can easily fit us and all of our stuff in or on it.

I rolled 50,000 miles today. Not a very exciting photo, but by keeping track
of my miles, I hope to keep track of how my Jeep progresses through the years.

For Mothers' Day this year,
we went to the Pismo Beach Dunes
state park. What a blast! Aside from normal family fun like a picnic
lunch, collecting sand dollars and shells, and flying a kite, we had a ton
of fun bustin' dunes!

5.1.2005
After such a successful run two weeks ago, I
went out to the same trail. Once
again, my new Cherokee proved itself to be the little Jeep that could. I got a
lot farther on the trail this time, until I high-centered on a pretty big log.

4.17.2005
Woo hoo! I took the Cherokee out on
its first adventure! I really
couldn't believe how well it performed even though it's still completely stock.
I can't wait to get my lift on!

I finished up the stereo
installation, and replaced
the carpet after a long, fruitless battle with a crappy vinyl floor
project.

4.4.2005
I completed the color-matched
dash and door trim. Turned out great. I'm very pleased with results.

The rolling stone gathers no moss, and I wasted no time in starting my first
projects on my XJ. My first projects are
installing a new stereo,
color-match painting
the center dash and door trim, and
installing a vinyl floor.

I picked up my Cherokee! After looking around for a while, I found a 2000
Limited 4-door 4x4 with less than 48,000 miles on it. It's in excellent
condition. Interior and exterior are spotless. Too bad I'm going to beat the
hell out of it.
