Jeep

Ok, my apologies for being so late in making this update. It's been a long time since I've made any updates, but I'm back in the saddle again.

We took this short trail ride with some friends of ours from our Jeep Club. Nothing extreme or exciting, just a nice day out enjoying the weather and scenery.

Photos:

Plotting the route Once we arrived at Rock Front Ranch, we took a break to plot out a route we wanted to take. None of us were prepared for some of the more difficult trails the area has to offer, so we just planned an easy trail ride.
Admiring the Flatty One of the guys (forgot his name!) has a really nice Flat Fender. Geared hella low, and built for abuse. We took some time to admire all the work he had in it.
Tarantula Along the way, before we hit the dirt, we saw several tarantulas. That'll make you think twice before disappearing behind a bush to answer nature's call!
Winding road This is just a nice shot of the trail we were on.
Rear view Justine snapped this great shot of Brett's rig in her rear view mirror.
Santa Ynez Mountains The weather was perfect and the Santa Ynez Mountains were beautiful. Overall, it was a great day for a relaxing run through the mountains.
Where do we turn? It turns out that the trail markers and the map that the park provides don't exactly match. We did some head scratching and figured out where we were.
Lunch break The natives (kids) were getting restless, so we stopped for some lunch and leg stretching.
John's Wrangler John's Jeep. Good lookin' rig.
Shade break After taking this break in the shade, we headed home. Again, not a particularly exciting day, but it was a nice outing and a good chance to get away from the house for a day.
